Department of Geography

Previously, the subject was taught at the pre-degree level by the teacher of Astronomy. later on, as appointed a permanent teacher of Geography at Elphinstone College.
At present the subject is taught from 11th to degree level. The department is enriched with several teaching-learning equipment. The result of the department is 100 %.Various extracurricular activities are conducted by geographical society. Special guidance for competitive examinations is given to students on a personal level, as well as NCC and Bharat Scout Guide. At present GIS and Remote Sensing, Regional Geography, Physical and Human Geography and its Branches from the faculties of the department. Recognized Research Lab in the department and Research Lab facility, provided to 03 Ph. D students. Presently Dr. Ratankumar V. Hajare has been commanding this Department since 1st August 2015
